The band is Ebban Dorsey on saxophone, Ephraim Dorsey on saxophone, Allyn Johnson on piano, Aidan Taylor on bass, and Lee Pearson on drums. 

The opening act will be the Blues Alley Youth Jazz Quartet under the direction of Michael Bowie, with Jose Andre on piano, Ronon Zwa on saxophone, Paul Smith on bass and Asa Nero on drums.

Ebban Dorsey, 18-year-old alto saxophonist, composer, and  bandleader, is from Baltimore, Maryland and has been playing since she  was 10. In the past 8 years, she has studied with Blake Meister, Carl  Grubbs, Tim Green, and Gary Thomas and is currently a freshman at Johns Hopkins  Peabody Institute. Ebban has  gained considerable experience performing with  Carl Grubbs, Gary Bartz, Kamasi Washington, John Lamkin, Warren Wolf, Benito Gonzales, Kenny Garett, Tia Fuller, Sean Jones,  Wycliffe Gordon, Tanya Darby, Erica Von Kleist, Mimi Jones, Shamie  Royston, Reginald Thomas, Allison Miller, Matthew Stevens, Chuck  Redd, Christian Scott, and many  more. She was a member of the Herbie Hancock  Institute National All-Star Jazz Quintet, and this year (2023) she toured Europe as a member of Jose James' band.  She was a member of NYO Jazz  2020 and NYO Jazz 2021 and recorded an album with the 2021 Jazz  band. A highlight of her career so far was when she performed the national anthem alongside her brother Ephraim at Camden Yards, the Baltimore Orioles stadium, on Opening Day 2020, along with a jazz rendition of “This Land is Your  Land.”   With her brother, Ebban has  performed at Bohemian Caverns, the Arts & Drafts Summer Music &  Arts Festival, Dizzy’s Coca Cola Club, Caton Castle, Keystone Korner,  the Kennedy Center, the Montclair Jazz Festival, and many other venues.  Ebban Dorsey is an extraordinary musician with a bright future ahead of  her.

Ephraim Dorsey is a 19-year-old tenor saxophonist, composer,  and bandleader from Baltimore, Maryland. He has been playing since  he was 11 and is currently a sophomore at Johns Hopkins  Peabody Institute. In the past 8 years, he has studied with Blake  Meister, Carl Grubbs, Tim Green, and is currently studying under Gary  Thomas. Ephraim has gained valuable experience performing with Carl Grubbs, Gary Bartz, Kamasi Washington, Kenny  Garett, John Lamkin, Warren Wolf, Benito Gonzales, Kris Funn, Sean Jones, Wycliffe Gordon, Erica Von  Kleist, Reginald Thomas, Chuck Redd,  Christian Scott, and many more. He was a member of NYO Jazz 2021 with whom he recorded an album in 2021. In addition to playing the national anthm together for Opening Day at orioles Park in 2021, Ephraim and his sister Ebban have performed at Bohemian  Caverns, Dizzy’s Coca Cola Club, Caton Castle, Keystone Korner, the  Montclair Jazz Festival, and many other venues. Ephraim is a passionate jazz musician and aims to share his gift with the rest of the world.
